ABOUT HUNTER FOOTBALL ACADEMY
HFA WAS BORN OUT OF A PASSION FOR ANDRE & ADAM TO GIVE BACK TO THE GAME THAT HAS GIVEN THEM SO MUCH.
Meet our Head Coach Andre Gumprecht

Since retiring as a player Andre’s passion has been developing youth and passing on his vast knowledge of the game. Andre brings a wealth of coaching experience to his role at the HFA. He is an FFA/AFC A,B & C License Qualified Coach as well as an FFA Skill Acquisition Specialist.

Meet our Head Coach Adam Kwasnik
As a player Adam had a distinguished playing career in the A-League, winning 2 premierships and a Championship with the Central Coast Mariners. Adam was a very skilful attacking player who had an eye for scoring goals with 35 goals for the Mariners in 136 appearances. He was also an Australian U/20 youth international.
Unfortunately his successful playing career was cut short by injury but with such a strong love for the game he immediately transitioned into the coaching ranks. He is very passionate about developing young players and giving them the best opportunity to transition into professionals.

Vision of HFA
At the Hunter Football Academy our goal is to Unlock Player Potential in the Hunter Valley Football Region.
We use the Game Intelligence Approach to coaching football at all levels.
Optimal development for modern football depends not only on physical, technical and tactical elements, but more importantly on deeper understanding and reading of the game and better decision making!
Game intelligence consists of 4 phases, which must be trained from the earliest ages – perception, understanding, decision making and execution.
The Game Intelligence Approach is the first building block in an optimal development model. It ensures that football starts in the head and finishes with the feet, not the other way around.
We believe that significant progress only occurs in football when motor learning is combined with cognitive learning.
Our ‘Football IQ’ model is a proven development model, based on cutting edge, best practice methodology from around the world.
Our first program will be a school holiday clinic starting July 2023 at Rockwell Automation Park, Weston.
We look forward to welcoming you to our program.
